Abstract:The first enamel craftsmen were brought to Jaipur by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh. Jaipur enamelling is known as "chamleve", in which the pattern is cut out of the metal itself. Jaipur holds a pre-eminent place as a centre of the enamelled jewellery industry.
