Author:Topsfield, Andrew

Enumeration:Vol. 52-4, p. 54-67
Abstract:Udaipur artists have preserved an unusually full record of Mewar court life from the 18th to early 20th centuries. Hundreds of their paintings contain detailed views of the City Palace and its apartments at different periods of development, and of the lake palaces of Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas. These works provide valuable evidence for architectural and social history.
