Subhray Maharaj founded the Subhray math at Solapur, in south Maharashtra.He was the deputy Prime minister to Tipu Sultan,before he took sanyas.In the Math is housed a collection- 500 of Subhrayji`s paintings- perhaps the biggest art treasure of a single artist in India.
