Biography: B. Sabarmurti

Sabarmurti never made a career a struggle for high position. But he has risen to a position of commanding influence. He is gifted with a n absolute genius for eloquent speech. But he avoids speaking unless he feels it a duty imposed upon him. A born rebel as he is, is respect for constitutional form is very great.

Political intelligence, exalted courage and many feeling make Mr.B .Sabarmurti One of the truest soldiers the freedom's cause has ever made.

A figure of medium stature, dark in complexion, with enormous physical strength, with his body sculpted face, he is physically made for a fighting man. He is by nature kind, tolerant of hostile opinion and anxious to advance his own by fair argument.

He is apolitical agitator. His voice as heard from the platform of great popular meetings. He is not a mere declaimer but a solid reputation by his immense sacrifices.

Fervent patriot as he is he has spent a precious period of his life behind the bars. To him the creed of the Congress is not a party slogan but a question of faith.

He is now the speaker of the Madras Assembly. He has the gift of debate. His style of speaking is remarkably clear and impressive. He compels attention rather than attract it.
