Jayaprakash Narayan, the valiant freedom fighter and the guide and philosopher of the socialist movement in India, later on withdrew from active party politics in search of new "incentive to goodness". He joined the Bhoodan (land donations) movement led by Vinoba Bhave. But his restlessness to fight against exploitation and corruption drew him to the folds of struggle of youth against corruption followed by second battle for freedom against  the Emergency

The repeal of emergency and the restoration of normalcy was Jayaprakash Narayan’s moment of triumph and glory.
