Biography: Kadri Gopalnath

Shri Kadri Gopalnath hails from a village near Mangalore in Karnataka. He has been successful in bringing out the delicate nuances of Karnataka music on saxophone, which is predominantly a western jazz instrument, by tireless application and practice. After tutelage from Shri Gopalkrishna Iyer of Mangalore.  Kadri Gopalnath also had guidance of Shri T. V. Gopalkrishnan, a well known Mridangam artist and a vocalist. Widely traveled in India and abroad fro concerts, Shri Gopalnath has several long playing discs and cassettes to his credit.
