Biography: Titte Krishna Iyengar

Born in 1902 in Mysore, Shri Titte Krishna Iyengar studied Carnatic vocal music and veena with his father Shri Titte Narayana Iyengar, Shri Veena Sheshanna and Shri G.B. Krishnappa.

A doyen among exponents off Carnatic vocal music today Shri Titte Krishna Iyengar has had a long career as a practicing musician. A repository of the Carnatic Classical music tradition, he is known especially for his repertoire of rare compositions by notable musicians of Karnataka, including his guru Shri Veena Seshanna; he has helped publish many of these. Shri Titte Krishna has been guru to a number of outstanding musicians of today.
