"Sudha" is the name of a very popular weekly in Kannada language published by the Deccan Herald group of Publications (Mysore Printers) in Bengaluru. Eminent journalists like E.R. Sethuram, and M.B.Singh served as its editors and they molded the reading habits of Kannadigas by providing a weekly dose of short-stories, serialized novels, cartoons, and popular articles.

Many prominent Kannada writers got their break while contributing to publications like Sudha, and some writers continued to write for Sudha even after establishing a strong name for themselves. The weekly featured generous illustrations and photographs, and built their own effective distribution system.

The periodical brought out special issues on the occasion of Indian festivals which were collectibles, and even today the old issues are much sought after.  Among other things, Sudha is popular for the serialized photo comics.
