Veena is one of the oldest string instruments of India. It is believed to have been invented by Narada, the divine sage who toured three worlds. Goddess Saraswati, the deity of learning carriers a veena. Rawana, a great musician has a veena named after him. Veena in various forms and resonance like Mohan veena, Rudraveena, Kinnariveena, exist today in India.
