Three Years of Sports Rantz Radio
First Online: January 01, 2099 On the occasion of turning three years, Vikas Kamat caught up with Anthony DiMoro, founder and CEO of SportsRantz Approaching their 3rd year in business, SportsRantz has had an impressive growth since it's inception in 2011. Filled to the brim with talented sports blogs, opinionated sports fans and a social network frame that has potential written all over it, SportsRantz continues to evolve. That evolution continued on Monday, March 4th 2013 with the unveiling of their new reconstructed SportsRantz Radio section.
VK: Cngratulations on turning three years! Please tell our readers about SportsRantz Radio station "We looked at other radio station websites and immediately saw an opportunity to do something unique and innovative, something we like to pride ourselves on SportsRantz being, innovative." said Anthony DiMoro founder and CEO of SportsRantz "It came down to demand. Our station receives a great deal of exposure and our radio page in particular has seen incredible traffic that grows from month to month. Previously, we had only one page of information regarding our show lineup and small write-ups about what each show is about. As our brand and the radio station grew, we didn't feel one page was adequate, so we evolved."
VK: What are some of the featured of your website and offerings? The new section for SportsRantz Radio rivals any sports radio or radio website. It has a sleek slider with images of each show that direct you to each show's specific page. Each page has a synopsis of the show and a listing of a handful of the latest archived shows. There is also a section where you can learn about each and every host on the network, giving an individualized feel to each show and host. "We have so much talent at SportsRantz Radio and we have had so much talent on our network in the past. It didn't feel right to just confine that to one paragraph on a page. We are rated right in the mix with sports radio stations like ESPN, Fox Sports and other heavyweights and we wanted to portray a brand that not only was in the same league, but beyond it." DiMoro even made sure to include the shows that were apart of SportsRantz Radio in the past, even for a short amount of time. "It's a section we are continuing to build. There have been some shows that have started with SportsRantz Radio. Brands like Babes Dig Balls and others built their audiences by starting with SportsRantz Radio. Although some of them are no longer on our airwaves, we wanted to showcase the growth and evolution of the station and the brands that built momentum with our audience." Most of all SportsRantz Radio's new section is for the fans. The site not only gives fans a great in-depth look into the sports radio station but also creates a unique interactive environment through the means of video broadcasting. "It probably is one of the coolest features, our video broadcast chat room. Some shows use it and others don't, but the ones that do really love utilizing the feature. It allows hosts, guests and listeners to hop into one big chat room. The chat room allows people to broadcast a webcam. For our hosts, it's a great feature that perfectly melds radio and video to give listeners a unique experience.
The announcement of SportsRantz Radio may be the headline but there were also some other announcements recently regarding the social media brand. During the past month, DiMoro has been adding professional athletes to a new section of SportsRantz called "FanFare". The concept is a place where pro athletes can blog about their career and fans can follow. Something that goes beyond the 140 character limits of Twitter and a Facebook Fan Page. Each athlete gets a customized blog to work with, highly visible on a popular website and it also gives them the benefit of Reputation Management, which is becoming more valuable as the internet evolves. Athletes like Olympians Kelli Stack and Kaylyn Kyle are listed on the page. NASCAR drivers Amber & Angela Cope, Taylor Stricklin and Joey McColm also are on the FanFare page. Even NHL and NFL pros like Brandon Bollig, Martin St.Pierre and Brandon London, among others, are also featured. But SportsRantz continued it's innovative path last night with the announcement of the forthcoming SportsRantz TV. "SportsRantz TV is really going to be a hit. We already have tackled social media, sports blogs and sports radio, so the next natural step was to try our hand at TV. In this day and age television isn't just the flat screen in your living room, it's the computer in your office, the laptop or tablet in your hands, your mobile phone. SportsRantz is now in that mix.
So you can expect a few web shows to air weekly. Right now we are ready to roll with three but are scouting for new shows to add to the mix." As SportsRantz enters it's third year it's impressive to see the constant growth. It is even more impressive to see how much growth has occurred in just three short years. VK : The future is bright for SportsRantz and sports fans everywhere. Happy Birthday SportsRantz
