Irritation Factor Increase on Yahoo Durable Link to this BLOG
I have been noticing a steady increase in the irritation factors in Yahoo's products and services, and I believe that they are all the result of aggressive marketing strategies (read as troubles with bottom line).

Here are specific things I noticed with the Yahoo messenger:
• There are ads on client that I cannot get rid of
• Inspired by viral marketeers the Yahoo client tried to open Outlook address book and tried to send email to all my friends within the danger of a click. Unbelievable
• Automatic updates. I don't want them, but I can't disable it.

Yahoo, why do you upset loyal, longtime customers? How are the above beneficial to me? (They may be beneficial to you, but don't force it on me).

This is how I surf the web. Turns out creating your own start page beats all portals, back-flipping, personalized corporate pages, and book-marking tools.
