Remembering Amit Kumar Tiwari

During my college years at SJCE, Amit Kumar Tiwari was a very good friend. After college, he moved to Allahabad, where he was from, and we exchanged a couple of letters. Then we lost contact. After the emergence of the Web, I tried to contact him many times, always reaching a wrong Amit Tiwari. And recently, I learnt that Amit actually died a few years ago due to a tumor in his brain. I couldn't believe it. This is the year all my batch-mates are celebrating our forty years... calling each other, reconnecting, and renewing our friendships. And I am struck with grief that we won't be contacting Amit. He was a bundle of laughter and energy. My college album aptly describes him as eternally mischievous(scan of the album shown below). I miss you Amit. I have missed you since 1988. Most of us didn't even know that you were gone. But we remember you with fond memories...
