| When I Met Steve Jobs | | | As an engineer, I revere Steve Jobs. I'd say he's the greatest engineer I have met. Yes, I had an opportunity meet Steve Jobs in the early 1990s. We both were struggling engineers (Steve had been squeezed out of Apple at that time, and I was early in my career). Steve had just gotten married and he so cutely referred to his child as their "custom app". After a brief conversation I asked for his autograph. He declined, but I begged him, and he signed the pocket-diary that I was carrying.
Later on I learned of Mr. Jobs' interests in India and that his autographs are indeed rare. There are reports of collectors paying as much as $5000 for it! There is concerning news about the health of Steve Jobs. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery. The world needs Steve Jobs. His life is an extraordinary story of entrepreneurship, innovation, and excellence.Bio at Wikipedia
