I've been a fan of Helen Keller, ever since I learnt about her life.
I have visited Tuscumbia, and the best room in my house is named "Helen Keller Sun Room".
Today, the U.S. Goverment honors Helen Keller by featuring her on the coin commemorating Alabama (image shown below).
