I am sad to report a death in Kamat family.
V.R. Kamat who is a distant relative --Babanna, as we called him, was my dad's cousin, but Hindu Joint Family system typically resulted in much closer bonds between extended family members than the relationships describe) -- but a fatherly figure to all Kamats of my generation.
