Kamat's Potpourri

Krishnanand and Jyotsna Kamat are connoisseurs of art. Their fascination for folk art has led them to create a computer website on Indian culture, history and ancient education system in Karnataka.

The website www.kamat.com launched on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of Indian Independence has until received  over one lakh visitors (April 1999) and is rated among the best websites in the world.

What is interesting is that the website has been developed by just  one family. The photographs, illustrations, literature, software and design is entirely done by the Kamat couple and their son and daughter-in-law.

The couple truly deserves accolades for their contribution in spreading the glory of Indian culture globally.
