| Abstract: | The author feels that Konkani language must be older to Marathi, and finds 80% Konkani in the Dnyaneshwari of Sant Dnyaneshwar. The article also deals with the Portuguese attack on the language in Goa and but yet culturally people are striving to popularise the language and he hopes government would recognise this minority language.
