Megalithic remains in this area has yielded a Shivalinga, Narasimha and Vishnu sculptures of the 6th and 7th century,and of Durga of the 8th or 9th century, Maeshmardini of 12th or 13th century at Araluguppa,image of Surya of the 15th-16th century at Bellatti, a Shivalaya at Nirgudi etc. These are some of the important finds of this area discussed here.
