Ratanlal Mulji Gandhi 

Immense business capacity, shrewd judgment and broad national outlook have enabled Mr. M. Gandhi to rank among the most successful Indian merchants.

Mr.M.Gandhi was born at Bombay in 1884. After graduating from the Bombay University he entered business. His determination beat down all obstacles to success quickly brought him to fore. He attained uncommon success in grain, wheat and oil-seed trade.

He rendered very valuable services a s the resident of the Seeds Traders Association. He is a member of the Indian Merchants Chamber, Bombay and a trustee of the Port of Bombay.

He had the unique distinction of being nominated by the International Chamber of Commerce Reserve on the Future Sub-Committee. Mr.Ratanlal is endowed with the gift to grasp the kernel a problem. This deep insight stood him in good stead while serving on the committee.

He was appointed by the Imperial Council of Agricultural Research in India to serve on the Oil Crushing Enquiry Committee. As Mr. Rathi has already made a scientific study of this subject, his suggestions were of inestimable value.

He is the Representative of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry to the Standing Wheat Committee of the Imperial Council of Agricultural Research.

He went on a Continent tour to make a special study of the Oil-seeds trade. During his sojourn he attended the biennial session of the International Chamber of Commerce at Amsterdam. He is elected to the Assembly from the Bombay City.

Mr. R.M. Gandhi has reached a position of unrivalled influence in the business world. But his influence is not confined only to that sphere. He has become equally famous for his support of the Congress cause. With matchless courage he has upheld the country's standard.

His affinities to both business and politics are great. And his Practical forcefulness has mellowed down his patriotic fervour.
