Biography: Kamata Prasad

Mr. Kamata Prasad was born at Jubbulpore. His early surroundings ware conductive to develop his talents. He joined the police department but left in disgust. Then he took a vow to serve the poor.

In 1920 he participated in the Non-cooperation Movement. He sacrificed all his fortune in the nation's cause. He was elected the President of the Local Board and a member of the District Congress Committee. He has attended many Congress sessions as a delegate.

He is an eminently reputable worker in the Congress Party. His sincerity and high spirits are tempered with judgment and discretion.
