Kanakana Bannerjee

Kanakana Bannerjee took early lessons in Hindustani classical music from her mother,  who is the eldest daughter of late Dr. Radhakamal Mukherjee, element thinker and sociologist and ex-vice chancellor of  Lucknow University. Kanakana's development as singer was under the privilege guidance of late Ustad Amir Khan of Indore. She has imbibed almost all the abstraction and mannerisms of Ragas and notable for the manner in which she harnesses the wide range of her voice to create patterns. She is also disciple of Pandit Pratap Narain of Mewati gharana and flowered into a vocalist of rare merit. She is the recipient of many award and honors. Knakana has participated in the various music conferences all over the India and abroad.
