Biography: Syed Ahmed Khan

Syed Ahmed Khan (a.k.a Sayyed Khan), was the founder of the Aligarh Muslim College (later became a University) during India’s freedom struggle. He relentlessly strived to induct the sprit of renaissance among his countrymen and Muslim co-religionist by building bridges of harmony between them and the western education system, with a view to elevate Muslims of India to a new social, moral and political level.
