Birds of India, K.L. Kamat
Majestic Male Painted Stork

The Ranganatittu bird sanctuary near Mysore is home to an amazing variety of birds. Although not very well known, the neighboring villages also harbor these birds, some of which come from far away lands. The above picture was taken in Kokkare Bellur, a tiny village,  where I found the people and the birds living in perfect harmony. - K.L. Kamat
