During  the 1980s, K.L. Kamat wrote a series of articles in popular Kannada periodicals about the flora, fauna and importance of environmental awareness and environmental studies. The following is a collection of photographs he took in preparation for one such article, "Parnalokadalli Paryatana" ( a tour of world of leaves) published in Sudha weekly.
