Kamat in America

Introduction

We discovered these pictures much after Dr. Kamat's death (in 2002), of his student days spent in USA.  As Kamat has narrated in a letter, Kamat did not have a camera of his own, and often borrowed from friends to learn photography. Technically these photographs may not be of highest quality, but they trace Kamat's maturity as a photographer and provide glimpses of Americana during the 1960s. - Ed.
