Indian Womanhood

It is ironic that a book on women is being dedicated to a man.

But I have no hesitation whatsoever to dedicate my decades of research to my father, Ganesh Vishweshwar Burde (b.1906), who from a young age imbibed the habit of reading in me, shaped my intellect, and even at the age of 94, reads, learns and encourages me to read and learn everyday.

To Baba, who is worthy of my worship.
