The village of Kasarkod (not to be confused with Kasargod, which is much more to the south)  is a beautiful neighborhood across from the Sharavati river from the town of Honavar.

  • The Kasarkod Beach
  • Apsarakonda Mountain and Beach
  • The Tile Factory (no longer operational)
  • The Shashank Seafood Processing Plant (no longer operational)
  • The  Fisheries Harbor or "The Dock" locally known as "Tonke"
  • The Vivekananda Arogya Dhama -- A "Nature Cure" center founded by Kusuma Sorab
